Yeah, I really love 2 Mello. What of it?
Song Notes

- This feels so much like a song from an early PS1 or Dreamcast game, where you’re at the end of a tutorial or something and it’s meant to make you feel like you’re getting in the flow of it.
cmon
- I love the melancholy, and then the rumbly, groovy bassline hits and if you’ve read around some of my album thoughts, you know how I feel about a rumbly, groovy bassline.
dream smooth
- Almost a little disorienting at the beginning, but when it comes together at the end, and the instruments drop out to the plucked string and percussion, and gets to the track title drop…
- That might be the highlight of the album.
magic loop
- Interesting detuning at the beginning, but then you get to the groovy guitar riffs, and it gets some extra energy.
- I love multiple string bending in guitar riffs…
cold rock it
- This one’s chill as hell, and chills out even further in the last fifth of the track.
t.m.o.
- Aggressive, straightforward.
pastel lands
- A solid, synthy bop to round out the album.
General Thoughts
- I will never get over Mello’s ability to pick excellent samples and fill out a soundscape with even just some tiny one-off sounds.
